On May 2-3, we\u2019re going to host the EU-Startups Summit<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0in sunny Barcelona!\u00a0At our annual flagship event, we showcase a selection of Europe\u2019s hottest startups and come together to learn from some of the most successful European entrepreneurs of our time.<\/p>\n

Audience\/Focus:<\/strong> The EU-Startups Summit 2019 will\u00a0bring together 1,200 founders, startup enthusiasts, corporates, angel investors, VCs, and media from across Europe. The two-day event is a great opportunity for networking, and\u00a0a meeting point\u00a0for aspiring entrepreneurs and investors who are aiming to build international tech companies. We\u2019ll have fireside chats with internationally successful founders, great networking opportunities (with a dedicated networkink app), workshops, and an exciting pitch competition on the main stage with 15 startup teams \u2013 selected from almost 1,000 applicants!<\/p>\n

Founded in 2013, Funderbeam is building the global startup stock-exchange \u2013 with a blockchain-based modern syndication system. \"TravelPerk-CEO\"Avi Meir<\/strong><\/a>, the founder and CEO of TravelPerk<\/strong><\/em><\/a>. Founded in 2015, TravelPerk is the world\u2019s first all-in-one platform for booking business travel that is 100% free. Today, the Barcelona-based startup is one\u00a0of the fastest growing \u2018Software as a Service\u2019 companies in Europe. \"Henrik-Zillmer-Airhelp\"AirHelp<\/a><\/em> <\/strong>founder and CEO\u00a0Henrik Zillmer<\/a><\/strong>. Founded in 2013 and headquartered in Gdansk (Poland), AirHelp is the world\u2019s leading flight compensation company with more than 550 employees and\u00a0offices across the world. AirHelp is already available in 30 countries, offers support in 16 languages, and has helped more than\u00a07 million people process airline compensation claims worth about \u20ac800 million in total reimbursement. \"Till-Faida-Adblock-Plus-EU-Startups-Summit\"Till Faida<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>is\u00a0the founder and CEO of Adblock Plus<\/a><\/strong> (eyeo) \u2013 the world\u2019s most popular browser extension and most used ad blocking solution. Adblock Plus has been downloaded over\u00a01 billion\u00a0times so far and provides users more control over their surfing experience. \"Tugce-Streetbees\"<\/a>Tugce Bulut<\/a><\/strong>, the founder and CEO of\u00a0Streetbees<\/a><\/strong>.\u00a0Founded 2015 in London, Streetbees\u00a0is a\u00a0global intelligence platform that reveals how people behave by analysing real-life moments collected from over 1 million Streetbees users from 150+ countries. \"Naren_Shaam_goeuro\"Naren Shaam<\/strong><\/a>, the founder and CEO of Omio<\/a><\/strong> (GoEuro).\u00a0Founded in 2012 in Berlin, Omio is the leading booking platform for transport across Europe. Omio\u2019s over 300 employees are on a mission to unify transport and to facilitate more convenient travel booking. In total,\u00a0Omio raised about \u20ac261 million from some of the world\u2019s leading VCs. \"Picnic-Daniel\"Daniel Gebler<\/a><\/strong>, the Co-founder and CTO of Picnic<\/strong><\/a>. Founded in 2015 and based in Amsterdam, Picnic is the world\u2019s fastest growing online supermarket. Allowing customers to order food through a simple app, Picnic aims to make grocery shopping fun, affordable, and fast for everyone \u2013 delivered by Picnic\u2019s fleet of electric vehicles. \"Sissel-Startupguide\"Sissel Hansen<\/a><\/strong>,\u00a0the founder and CEO of\u00a0Startup Guide<\/a>\u00a0\u2013 a publishing company that produces guidebooks and tools to help entrepreneurs navigate and connect with different startup scenes across the globe. Founded in 2014 by\u00a021 year old Sissel, Startup Guide books today are available for 23\u00a0different cities in Europe, the US, Asia and the Middle East. Startup Guide also has two physical stores in Berlin and Lisbon to promote and sell products by startups. Sissel Hansen grew Startup Guide already to a 25-person team, mostly based in Berlin and Lisbon.<\/p>\n

\"Future-of-Flat-rental\"Badi<\/a>\u00a0Founder & CEO\u00a0Carlos Pierre<\/a><\/strong>,\u00a0Spotahome<\/a>\u00a0CEO & Co-founder Alejandro Artacho<\/a><\/strong> and HousingAnywhere<\/a>CEO Djordy Seelmann<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0will join us for a panel discussion about the\u00a0future of the online flat rental market! The three founders are just perfect for this discussion, since they are innovating and growing rapidly in this field.<\/p>\n

Pitch Competition<\/strong><\/em><\/h4>\n

\"Pitch-Winner-2018\"During the EU-Startups Summit, we\u2019ll also have a big\u00a0pitch competition with 15 of Europe\u2019s most exciting early-stage startups. The pre-selected startups are going to pitch their business idea with a 3-minute-presentation in front of our attendees and an expert jury of well known investors. The winning startup team will receive an awesome prize package worth \u20ac75,000.\u00a0The 15 finalists of this year\u2019s pitch competition can be found here<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Investors on Stage<\/strong><\/em><\/h4>\n

In contrast to the pitch competition, we\u2019ll also have a session\u00a0where we bring 20+ investors on stage who will briefly introduce their investment firm\/focus.\u00a0This year\u2019s EU-Startups Summit will gather many of\u00a0Europe\u2019s leading Venture Capital investors, business angels and accelerators. Timings & Tickets<\/strong><\/em><\/h4>\n

The main event will take place on May 2-3, from 10am to 6pm. In the evening of May 2 we\u2019ll also have a nice after-party\u00a0for continued networking. The\u00a0very first draft of the agenda can be found\u00a0here<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Compared to other major tech events, we keep our ticket prices affordable, starting at \u20ac149 for startup founders and wantrepreneurs, \u20ac295 for investors, and \u20ac395 for corporates and service providers. Tickets are available here<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The Venue<\/strong><\/em><\/h4>\n

The event will take place at the convention centre of the Hesperia Tower Hotel, which is located between Barcelona airport and Barcelona city (Avinguda de la Granvia, 144).
