We are turning metropolitan municipalities into laboratories for innovation in water and sustainability!

Aigües de Barcelona and Cornellà de Llobregat City Council are seeking innovative solutions to improve the renaturalisation of aquatic ecosystems in urban areas. This will accelerate open innovation in the region with scalable, autonomous solutions that transform water challenges into opportunities for the future.

Who can participate?

  • National and international start-ups with digital and technological solutions that can respond to the water-related challenges of each municipality. The solutions must have a technological development level equal to or higher than TRL (Technology Readiness Level) 6, and their implementation through a pilot project must be viable, both technically and economically, within a period of 6 to 9 months.
  • Solutions with potential for scalability and management that is as autonomous or independent as possible will be viewed favourably.
  • The solution must respond to at least one of Aigües de Barcelona’s six lines of action and contribute to the achievement of one or more Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), as well as the objectives of the Spanish Urban Agenda roadmap.
