TOUS joins Tech Barcelona to reinforce its commitment to innovation

Barcelona, January 20, 2025. –The jewelry company TOUS has joined Tech Barcelona as a Corporate Partner. This alliance will allow the company, with more than a century of history, to strengthen its commitment to innovation, working in contact with more than 1,400 members and 90 partners that are part of this technological and digital association of reference in Europe.

Digitalization and technological innovation are fundamental pillars in TOUS’ growth strategy, which will be driven by a high rate of investment, a firm commitment to specialized talent and collaboration with other technological players. The firm will focus on improving the customer experience through omnichannel and personalization, as well as optimizing organizational efficiency, improving production processes and the logistics chain.

Through this agreement, the company seeks to accelerate the implementation of advanced solutions in Artificial Intelligence, data analytics and immersive technologies. The development of algorithms for language and image processing, for example, already plays a crucial role in product recommendation and trend identification, solutions that have been key to the growth of the digital channel, which has gone from 9% to 23% of its business in four years.

Manglar joins Tech Barcelona to strengthen support for the entrepreneurial ecosystem

Barcelona, December 2nd 2024. Manglar, an ecosystem that brings together startups, SMEs, freelancers and remote workers, has signed a collaboration agreement with the Tech Barcelona association to enhance opportunities for growth and connection of entrepreneurs. This alliance facilitates access to services, activities and resources for both communities.

Located in the Gracia neighborhood and with 1,500 square meters, the Manglar space will become part of the Urban Tech Campus, which includes Pier01, Pier03, Pier07 and other spaces that bring innovation to the center of Barcelona. The Manglar space is the first solidarity coworking in the state, allocating part of the profits to social projects and placing special emphasis on sustainability. In addition to coworking, Manglar offers consulting and financial management services for startups, SMEs and foundations.

Mauricio Alkain and Xavi Parcerisas, co-founders of Manglar, point out that “the alliance between Manglar and Tech Barcelona opens the door to a new community of entrepreneurs and forward-thinking companies, while contributing to a more decentralized and prosperous city. IFCO establishes its new global digital hub at Pier01

Barcelona, November 18, 2024. – IFCO, a world leader in reusable packaging solutions for fresh food, has opened a global digital hub at Tech Barcelona’s Pier01. This new hub in Barcelona will strengthen IFCO’s ability to provide real-time tracking and data-driven analytics to its customers around the world, promoting transparency, efficiency and sustainability throughout the supply chain.

Specifically, the hub starts operations with a team of 25 employees and the forecast to grow to 50 employees in the next year. This team of technology profiles will be responsible for integrating advanced tools, such as Artificial Intelligence (AI) or the Internet of Things (IoT), into its reusable transport containers (RPCs) to provide location and status updates, allowing customers to optimize container usage, reduce environmental impact and streamline logistics.
