The Smart Ports: Piers of the Future is an annual congress linked with the Smart City Expo World Congress, the main international summit on smart cities and urban solutions.

This initiative is carried by the ports of Antwerp, Barcelona, Busan, Hamburg, Los Angeles, Montreal & Rotterdam which has joined together in order to show to the world their most innovative projects in environmental, social & economic sustainability as well as digitization and mobility in the Smart City Expo World Congress in Barcelona.

The ultimate goal of Smart Port is to provide a more open and efficient model for port and logistics processes. Technology like big data, automation and artificial intelligence as well as new values such as transparency and collaboration are causing huge changes in every area of the economy and that’s why it’s so important to be up-to-date and to adapt.

This 4th edition of Smart Ports will be presented at the Smart City Expo World Congress 2019 from 15th to 17th November in Barcelona.
