Storing data in a data lake is cheap and scalable. The real challenge comes afterwards: correcting a data point, deleting a customer’s information, or figuring out what happened to a piece of data yesterday.

Yassin Lalj El Assri, Senior Data Engineer & Architect at Capitole, will explain how Apache Iceberg addresses these challenges: evolving data structures without breaking anything, securely deleting data to comply with GDPR requirements, and travelling back in time to investigate errors. He will also compare it with Delta Lake and walk through a practical example of a data pipeline.
