In an era where data and AI are revolutionising industries worldwide, the structured finance sector should be no exception.

The structured finance community has convened in Barcelona for almost 3 decades to network with industry peers and engage in high-stakes deals. However, amidst the hustle and bustle, one crucial group is still to be welcomed: technology and data professionals.

The Structured Finance Hackathon is designed to bridge the gap between the financial and technology worlds, providing a unique space where developers, data scientists, and AI specialists can interact with quants, portfolio managers, and risk analysts.

The event’s competitive flavour also encourages innovators to solve real-world challenges in an environment with fewer constraints.

Teams will start collaborating online from May 16th until demo day on June 5th, where they will showcase their ideas to the jury either online or on-site.

Over 3 weeks, participants will tackle any of the following 3 challenges:

  • LegalTech ➡️ How can we turn Structured Finance documentation into transparent code, quick and error-free?
  • Climate Risk ➡️ How can we use a variety of data sources to empower portfolio managers with compliant ESG and Climate Risk Scenario Analytics?
  • RegTech ➡️ How can we make Regulatory Obligations easier to understand and efficiently monitor changes to existing requirements?

Enter as an individual or assemble a team, build your prototype and pitch your idea!

Hosted at Aticco Bogatell in Barcelona’s technology and innovation district – only 15 minutes from the Global ABS Conference – this hackathon is a chance to demonstrate your skills, network with industry players, and discover new avenues for collaboration in the financial services world.
