He\u2019s also member of the Management Board of\u00a0Barcelona Tech City.<\/p>\n<p>Prieto emphasizes the significance of being surrounded by diverse people, coming\u00a0from different cultures, personal and professional experiences, also from people from\u00a0all ages. All this offers positive aspects on the work teams, such as connecting withdifferent consumers and the capability to be more innovative in the market.<\/p>\n<div class=\"embed-responsive embed-responsive-16by9\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube-nocookie.com\/embed\/Y-ieauGBn1w\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h6><strong>BEGINNING OF EDREAMS<\/strong><\/h6>\n<p>eDreams offers low-cost services in airlines, hotels, rental cars, dynamic and vacation\u00a0packages and travel insurances. When the company was created, Prieto -together with<br \/>\nhis partners- had clear in mind that they wanted a solid and long-term business, which\u00a0would not only remain as a startup but also would become into a company. \u201cMost of<br \/>\nthe entrepreneurs have the motivation to launch many projects, instead we wanted to\u00a0start with just one project and take it as far as possible\u201d, stresses Prieto. For this<br \/>\nreason, he highlights the value for all entrepreneurs of defining their objectives and\u00a0motivation, inasmuch as this type of approaches will have a huge impact on the<br \/>\ndecisions made for the company.<\/p>\n<p>The beginning of eDreams was not easy, it had a non-steady growth, then an\u00a0exponential one, until it reached an equilibrium. \u201cOn each stage it\u2019s required people<br \/>\nwith different abilities and willingness. We must have clear which are the abilities that\u00a0we need along the growth, and sometimes we must take decisions that are not<br \/>\nnecessarily pleasant for people, but we have to understand, that not everybody works\u00a0over all the growth phases of the company.<\/p>\n<h6><strong>CULTURE IS CHARACTERISTIC OF EACH STARTUP<\/strong><\/h6>\n<p>Defining the culture of the startups is really important, it requires effort, it\u2019s not enough\u00a0just looking at other examples and then copycat them, because it may don\u2019t work.<br \/>\nPrieto remarks the importance of having their own culture. It\u2019s important to define which\u00a0is the culture that fits better.<\/p>\n<p>For example, Prieto that one of the mainly values of the Amazon\u2019s culture is the\u00a0frugality, meanwhile Google doesn\u2019t care spend any amount of money for deploying a<br \/>\ncampus. Both companies are successful but doesn\u2019t imply that the Amazon culture\u00a0works on the Google\u2019s one, and vice versa.<\/p>\n<h6><strong>UPCOMING CHALLENGES<\/strong><\/h6>\n<p>\u201cThe Third Digital Wave of Internet has brought acceleration in the innovation boosted\u00a0by the democratization in the entrepreneurship\u201d, remarks Prieto. Entrepreneurs are<br \/>\nincreasingly more representative within the society; they search for giving solutions to\u00a0the currently issues in the world. As a result, there are more digital and technological\u00a0hubs.
