 
                    Mobile World Capital Barcelona has opened the call for the second edition of the MWCapital AWARDS: Technologies for a Sustainable Future, organised in collaboration with GSMA Foundry, B Lab Spain, the Secretary of State for Digitalisation and Artificial Intelligence, and Red.es.
After the success of the first edition, which attracted 157 projects from 34 countries, this new call continues to shine a spotlight on the world’s most innovative initiatives using technology as a lever for a more sustainable future.
Five categories:
- Companies
- SMEs and startups
- Non-profit and Benefit and Common Interest Companies
- Academia and Research Center
- Public Institutions
And a special award: Barcelona Horizon Award
Who can participate?
The call for entries is open until 18 March 2026 to projects worldwide that:
- Are at least partially implemented and show measurable results.
- Are led by organisations active for a minimum of 12 months.
- Incorporate technology as a lever for a more sustainable future.
- Demonstrate a strong commitment and contribution to the SDGs.
