Barcelona welcomes JetBrains, the European unicorn empowering 15 million developers / JetBrains, creator of intelligent development tools used by 15 million people and by 88 of the Fortune Global Top 100 companies, has joined Tech Barcelona as a Global Partner with the goal of strengthening the local tech ecosystem and creating new opportunities for developers and entrepreneurs in Barcelona.

Since its founding in 2000, JetBrains, headquartered in Amsterdam, has become a global benchmark in software development. The company offers more than 30 products, including IDEs such as IntelliJ IDEA and PyCharm, as well as the JetBrains AI suite (Junie and the Mellum language model). JetBrains also provides tools for teams such as YouTrack and TeamCity, and is the creator of Kotlin, a cross-platform language used every year by more than 2.5 million developers.

JetBrains continues to strengthen its presence in Spain with this agreement with Tech Barcelona, the leading tech association in Southern Europe. Following the recent establishment of JetBrains Spain, this partnership marks a key step in the company’s commitment to building a strong and lasting presence in Barcelona.

According to Daniil Shulgin, Country Manager of JetBrains Spain: “Spain has the talent and ambition. Partnering with Tech Barcelona allows us to bring our expertise in developer tools to the community and help local startups reach their next stage of growth.”
