El Consulado General de Brasil en Barcelona te invita al Festival de Cine Brasil e Innovación Tecnológica, una muestra gratuita que conecta cultura y tecnología.
Se proyectarán cuatro documentales inéditos en España, que abordan temas como startups con impacto social, educación creativa, agroindustria sostenible y ecosistemas de innovación.

On 2 October, the 10th edition of La Nit de l’Alzheimer will be held at the Hotel Palace Barcelona, a charity event organised by Ace Alzheimer Center Barcelona.
It is much more than just an event: it will be a unique and magical night, full of culture, art and science, which this year will donate the proceeds to the Early Detection Programme, with new digital tools to identify the early signs of Alzheimer’s.
We must remember that Alzheimer’s is the chronic disease with the highest social cost, yet it receives 10 times less investment in research than cancer or other diseases. Without research, there will be no cure. That is why every ticket is a step forward.

CONNECTIO Pitch at Bizbarcelona aims to connect SMEs with start-ups and innovative companies that offer technological solutions to improve business management. That is why 8 companies will be selected to present their solutions in the following areas:
- Business management (finance, human resources, customer management, etc.)
- Digital marketing and customer experience
- Automation and artificial intelligence
- Digital tools for workers
- Mobility and logistics
- Cybersecurity and data protection
IMPORTANT!
Registration is open until 15 September. We will contact all registered companies to assess their suitability for the activity and inform them which ones will be able to take part.
This activity is exclusively for companies in the CONNECTIO community. If you are not yet a member, you can join via this link.
The selected companies will have to attend a pitch training session during the week of 29 September, for which additional details will be provided.

Registration deadline
The deadline for receiving applications is October 12.
Requirements
To participate, interested companies must be incorporated or in the process of incorporation in Spain, be less than 60 months old, and be considered SMEs under European legislation, have fewer than 250 employees and a turnover of less than €50 million.
Documentation
Applications must be submitted online. Go to the Submit Application tab, fill in the required fields, attach a document with the main details of the company, and a video pitch with the project’s value proposition. Each company can apply to two different categories.
Categories
This year, health and biotechnology and mobility and smart cities are back, and green business, blue economy, tech-industry and smart services are new additions.
Jury meeting
This year’s jury includes Garbiñe Henry, Director of Innovation and Entrepreneurship at the University of Deusto; Gemma Beltrán, Director of the Technology Companies-Investors Department, DayOne and CaixaBank’s EmprendeXXI Awards; Antonio Durán, Global Head of Innovation at Abertis; Marta Nogueras, general director of Lanzadera; Guillermo Arregui, founder and CEO of Radar Ventures; and Miguel Gómez, director of communications at Tech Barcelona.
The judges appointed by EXPANSIÓN will meet on 11 November to deliberate and select the three winning start-ups in each category.
Award ceremony
The awards ceremony will take place on 3 December in Barcelona.
