Finance teams are under increasing pressure to better control spend, anticipate liquidity, and provide strategic answers to the business. However, when data is scattered or arrives too late, the CFO ends up managing the past instead of anticipating the future.

In this workshop, we will explore how to connect and automate the entire spend process, from requests and approvals to corporate cards, employee expenses, invoices, and accounting. Through real-world scenarios, we will discover how to gain visibility before spend occurs, improve forecast accuracy, identify deviations in time, and free up capacity to focus on analysis and decision-making.

We will also explore how artificial intelligence, integrated workflows, and autonomous agents are transforming the role of the CFO, as well as how to connect these new capabilities with the tools and ERP systems that each company already uses.

🛠️ Real-World AI Implementation for Product Engineers

AI Tinkerers Barcelona is back on September 17, 2026, with an evening focused entirely on the practical aspects of building AI-powered products. This is a technical, live demo night with no slides, designed for senior software engineers, technical product managers, and product designers who are actively developing and shipping generative AI features, orchestrating LLMs, and building autonomous workflows.

We prioritize running code, architectural decisions, technical trade-offs, and lessons learned from real-world projects over theoretical or commercial presentations. Expect 4 to 5 fast-paced, 5-minute live demos from local builders showing what they built, how they built it, and what they learned along the way.

📅 Event Details

  • Date: Thursday, September 17, 2026
  • Time: 6:30 PM – 9:30 PM
  • Location: OneCoWork Catedral, Av. de la Catedral, 6-8, Ciutat Vella, 08002 Barcelona
  • Cost: Free to attend

Attendance is strictly limited and manually screened. To maintain a high-signal technical environment, we prioritize senior software engineers (5–10+ years of experience) working in product-driven SaaS companies, as well as professionals actively building and deploying AI solutions. Please make sure your profile includes links to your GitHub, LinkedIn, or relevant technical work.

🎙️ Submit Your Demo

Are you building something interesting? We want to see your experiments, custom LLM integrations, and solutions built for real-world environments. Demos are strictly limited to 5 minutes and must follow these core principles:

  1. Show, Don’t Tell: Run your project live. Slide presentations are completely banned.
  2. Expose the Internals: Share your tech stack, prompt engineering strategies, or agentic workflows.
  3. Teach, Don’t Sell: Focus on technical discoveries and lessons learned, rather than pitching a product.

Submit your demo proposal here:

🧪 Science Fair & Networking

Alongside the main-stage presentations, we host an interactive Science Fair. This is a decentralized space during the networking sessions where participants can showcase projects from their laptops, run informal code walkthroughs, and get direct feedback from other professionals.

The evening will wrap up with food, drinks, and technical conversations with Barcelona’s builder and engineering community.

On Monday, September 14, we’ll kick off our new event season, just days before the AI Summit Barcelona, together with Gentleman Programming, in a new edition of our AI Afterworks.

We’ll move from theory to practice by exploring the leap from LLMs to agents (context, memory, and tools), and how prompts, RAG, and agents fit into the new AI stack, with Daniel Españadero, a content creator and educator followed by more than 30,500 developers on YouTube.

We’ll also build agentic applications with Angular + Genkit + Kendo UI alongside Dany Paredes, Google Developer Expert (GDE) in Angular, Progress Champion in Kendo UI, and former InnoIT team member.

To close the event, Alan Buscaglia (Software Architect & Front-End Expert), creator of Gentleman Programming, a community with more than 100,000 YouTube subscribers, will share his perspective on AI, open source, and trustwhen building software in 2026.

3 SESSIONS

From Zero to AI Agents: What Every Developer Needs to Know

Daniel Españadero

AI is no longer limited to answering questions. Today, it can analyze problems, make decisions, use tools, and execute tasks.

In this talk, we’ll cover the core concepts behind generative AI, from the fundamentals that make it work to the architecture of an AI agent with context, memory, and tools. We’ll explore what really lies behind concepts such as language models, prompts, RAG, and agents, how they connect, and why they are becoming a key part of the modern technology stack.

Build Agentic Applications with Angular, Genkit, and Kendo UI

Dany Paredes

Don’t settle for building chatbot applications that simply talk and respond. In this session, we’ll learn how to create applications that take action, bridging the gap between chatbots and autonomous agents using Genkit.

Building Software in 2026: AI, Open Source, and Trust

Alan Buscaglia

What does it mean to build software when an AI can generate 94,000 lines of code in a single weekend?

It happened to me: a massive pull request, built live with the community, that forced me to rethink everything I knew about reviewing, trusting, and collaborating. Out of that experience came RDD, a methodology where trust is not remembered—it is re-derived. Every change is verified outside the model, with content-bound evidence.

In this talk, we’ll walk through that real-world story, explore the current state of open source in the age of AI agents, and discuss how the developer’s role is evolving as AI writes the code and we provide the direction. Spoiler: human judgment has never been more valuable.

After the talks, we’ll continue with a networking session. And of course, there will be food and drinks.

Want to bring a colleague or friend? Feel free to share this invitation with your network.

We look forward to seeing you there!
