In 2024, more than 45% of laws passed at the national level originated in the EU. In addition, 84 directly applicable regulations and 20 royal decrees were adopted to transpose European regulations. If we add to this fact the impact of EU funding, the main driver of public investment after the pandemic, the growing role of Brussels makes the EU a key player in the development of business activity.

With the aim of analyzing how the EU activity impacts on the day to day business, from LLYC we would like to invite you to our next meeting.

Program

  • Welcome
Àngels Chacón, Senior Director of Corporate Strategy for Europe at LLYC.
  • Dialogue on the European strategic context
Between Esther Borràs, delegate of the Government to the EU, and Pablo García-Berdoy, leader of Public Affairs Europe at LLYC and former Permanent Representative of Spain to the EU.
  • Business round table: experiences and lessons learned
With the intervention of several companies, including Sateliot and Moeve, in a session moderated by Pablo Rupérez, director of European Affairs at LLYC and former advisor at the Permanent Representation of Spain to the EU (REPER) in Brussels.

In case you would like to attend, please confirm your attendance at aina.trogal@llyc.global.

A large part of the objects we buy and own end up being used only a few times. Over time, these items accumulate in closets, storage rooms, and shelves, creating a huge problem of invisible waste that rarely gets noticed.

That’s why we need to reinvent the way we relate to things. In Barcelona, this change began with initiatives like the Libraries of Things and other pioneering projects. Now, a new connected infrastructure could scale this transformation: the Sharing Point.

Thanks to a system of smart lockers available 24/7, people can easily and continuously access shared items. It is, essentially, the Bicing for Things.

With the support of BitHabitat, a consortium led by Bax Innovation has successfully tested the first autonomous shared objects station in Barcelona within a residential building by Cevasa. Read more here about the experiment.

This event will be an opportunity to reflect on the lessons learned from this experiment, bring together key players in Barcelona’s sharing economy ecosystem, and explore together how to scale this type of station across the city.

Program
11:00: Introduction: the growth of the collaborative economy in Barcelona
11:10: Presentation of the Compartiment project
11:25: Round table with local collaborative economy actors

Roger Junquera, Manager of Bicing Barcelona
Jenny Berengueras, Director of Reuse Area at Rezero, and representative of the Library of Things
Javier Velasco Sánchez, co-founder of Lendi, a platform that allows people to share items
Sami Angsthelm, Circular and Collaborative Economy Leader at Bax Innovation
