On May 12-13, 2022, we’ll be hosting the next edition of our annual EU-Startups Summit! At this exclusive in-person event at Palau de Congressos de Barcelona we’ll be showcasing many of Europe’s hottest startups and coming together to learn from some of the most successful European entrepreneurs of our time. Ready for two days of networking, inspiration and learning?

The EU-Startups Summit 2022 will gather over 1,500 founders, startup enthusiasts, corporates, angel investors, VCs, and media from across Europe. The two-day event is a great opportunity for networking (with a dedicated networking app), and a meeting point for aspiring entrepreneurs and investors who are aiming to build international tech companies. We’ll have fireside chats with internationally successful founders, insightful keynotes, and an exciting pitch competition with the finals happening on our main stage with 15 startup teams – selected from over 1,300 applicants!

Pitch Competition

During the EU-Startups Summit, we’ll also have a big pitch competition with 15 of Europe’s most exciting early-stage startups. The pre-selected startups are going to pitch their business idea with a 3-minute-presentation in front of our attendees and an expert jury of well-known investors. The winning startup team will receive an awesome prize package worth €125k. The application phase closed on March 17 and the 15 finalists have recently been announced here.

Timings & Tickets

The main event will take place on May 12-13, from 10am to 6pm. In the evening of May 12 we’ll also have a nice after-party for continued networking. The very first draft of the full event agenda can be found here. More updates and highlights will be added soon.

Compared to other major tech events, we keep our ticket prices affordable, starting at €149 for students and ending at €590 for representatives of large corporates and service providers. Tickets are available here.

Esade is launching the 0Waste Pre-Accelerator program and is looking for start-up founders with innovative spirit and interest in developing business ideas that reduce waste and generate a positive impact on the environment.

The 0Waste Pre-accelerator will help social entrepreneurs to bring their sustainable business idea to the next level by building or strengthening their business plan through the application of design thinking methodologiesand with the support of mentors experienced in start-up growth, sustainability and social impact creation & management.

We are looking for 20 early-stage start-ups or start-up ideas that are both economically and environmentally sustainable, are innovative and have a high potentiality of growth and scalability.

The Pre-Accelerator will start on April 20th and will end with a Demo Day at the end of May. It will consist of 2 modules, one of Circular Economy and one of Business Development, for a total of 23.5 hours between class and mentorship programs. The 0Waste Pre-accelerator project will be held in hybrid mode, with the possibility to go full online if the participants are located outside Barcelona. The best projects will access the 0Waste Acceleration program starting in June.

The deadline to participate is on April 15th.

This program is part of the ‘Hub B30, Beyond Circularity’ project that aims to overcome the concept of circular economy and move towards a model in which all waste can be transformed into raw material to maximize sustainability. This is a PECT project (Specialization and Territorial Competitiveness Project) financed by the European Union.
