Según un estudio de la OCDE, cuatro de cada 10 trabajos a los que quieren dedicarse los jóvenes españoles están en riesgo de desaparecer. Todos los trabajos que puedan ser realizados por máquinas, es decir que sean automatizables, van a ser automatizados. Necesitamos apuntalar la tan demandada singularidad humana.

La transformación de los negocios y la automatización apuntan la necesidad de nuevos perfiles profesionales que se adapten a las futuras demandas del mercado. Aunque en muchos casos esos perfiles son una incógnita, los expertos sí tienen clara la necesidad de un nuevo sistema educativo que aborde la formación en todos los tramos de edad.

In this challenge, both IBM and GoHub, the two global industry leader partners has joined together to enable entrepreneurship with a vision to create an ecosystem of innovation and technology sharing between startups, vendors and piloting sites. In order to do this, they has organized the ultimate water challenge.

Technology helps us to contribute to more efficient use of water resources helping us with improved agriculture and food production, smart water, efficient infrastructures, combat drought and decline of water reserves, ocean care and prevention of natural disasters and desertification.

PARTICIPATION

The startups that can participate will be selected by an expert committee of members of GoHub, IBM, Tech Barcelona and ACCIÓ. Criteria: incorporated companies, strong business model, focused on B2B, have revenue, team with leadership and technological experience, technology consolidated in a vertical, product-market fit in their country, looking to raise capital 2021/2022.

Deadline to submit applications: October 31st. The winners will be announced on November 30rd.

Among the prizes the winners will receive, there’s a Tech Barcelona Membership plus up to €3M investment, a paid Proof of Concept (PoC) up to $50,000, propietary water utility data to test and validate solutions and other IBM benefits.

Once again the Hong Kong Science and Technology Park organises HSTP ELEVATOR WORLD TOUR / ELEVATOR PITCH COMPETITION.

With more than 500 participating startups and 100 finalists, this competition gives the opportunity to make a 60-second pitch to about 1,500 entrepreneurs, investors, incubators, accelerators and entrepreneurs participating in the event.

The competition is open to startups under the age of 5 years old or individuals with innovative ideas who have received less than US $ 10 million in investment funds, this is a perfect showcase for innovative ideas from around the world.

Through ACCIÓ office in HK, which is the Supporting Organization of the HK Elevator Pitch Competition, startups that submit and end up being finalists will have the opportunity to win up to $100,000 in prize / investment, among other prizes, and the opportunity to establish contacts with entrepreneurs, incubators, and investors, both local and foreign.

En aquest seminari, en el marc de la iniciativa Catalonia Exponential, descobriràs tres metodologies per a transformar la teva empresa: la metodologia ExO, la Purpose Launchpad i la Pentagrowth.

Principalment, la metodologia ExO fa referència al terme ‘Exponential Organisations’ o en català, organitzacions exponencials, i tracta de fer reflexionar sobre el grau de flexibilitat de la teva empresa i facilitar el procés perquè aquesta sigui més flexible i àgil. Per altra banda, la metodologia Purpose Launchpad pretén desenvolupar una idea o startup en fase inicial en una organització orientada a un propòsit clar i d’aquesta manera, crear un impacte massiu. Third consecutive edition of F4F partnership program aims to build a healthier society via technology-based digital solutions co-developed with start-ups

Participating start-ups entering the F4F program can propose patient-oriented digital solutions, focused on neurological disorders, via online platform open from June to September 2021

Ferrer, a privately-held Spanish pharmaceutical company whose aim is to make a positive impact in society, today announces its continued commitment to digital health with the third edition of its innovation program Ferrer 4 Future (F4F). The open innovation program aims to empower entrepreneurs and digital health businesses, to develop disruptive health solutions – using digital technology. Participating start-ups can propose digital healthcare solutions, using new technologies, against the latest challenges set by Ferrer, via an online platform https://ferrer4future.com

The purpose of the F4F program is the co-development of technology-based healthcare solutions, between start-ups and Ferrer. The collaboration begins with a careful selection process of proposed solutions against two challenges posed by Ferrer. Following an initial scoring process, the start-ups present and defend their solutions before the start-up advisory board, who picks the winner. The winning start-up participates in the program, which includes the possibility of piloting the solution on a real-use case and holds the potential to explore commercial alliances and collaborations with Ferrer in the future. The collaboration agreements are customized – according to the nature and maturity of each project. The duration of the co-development varies between 3 and 18 months, during which time, access to Ferrer mentors and experts, combined with access to internal resources, is guaranteed, and speeds up the creation of the solution.

Ferrer’s F4F 2021 program offers two challenges to participating start-ups:

• Challenge 1: Is there a digital solution that may help screen people with mild cognitive impairment and distinguish if there is a pathological evolution in cognitive functions, to allow long-term monitoring of the disease and provide the appropriate treatment?
• Challenge 2: Is there an easy to use digital solution to maximise independence in the daily tasks of patients living with mild cognitive impairment, through personalized cognitive or motor rehabilitation?

The challenges require patient-centric solutions which facilitate the daily activity of healthcare professionals who are supporting patients with neurological disorders, whilst in primary healthcare settings or specialized neurology clinics, as they care for people with mild cognitive impairment. The solutions should also provide the healthcare professionals with precise follow-up tools and features.
