ICEX Spain Trade and Investment (ICEX), Red.es and the Economic and Commercial Office of Spain (OFECOMES) in Los Angeles just launched the first edition of its immersion programme of DESAFÍA San Francisco exclusively dedicated to Spanish technology startups led by women.

The programme aims to introduce entrepreneurs to the Silicon Valley ecosystem with a special focus on supporting women in entrepreneurship, in order to acquire the necessary experience and knowledge to successfully scale their business model globally; provide a soft-landing for selected startups in the U.S. market; promote synergies between companies at similar stages of maturity, benefiting from the experience of the founders, and foster a collaborative community of women in entrepreneurship; attract the attention of stakeholders in the ecosystem with interest in promoting and supporting women’s technology entrepreneurship.

Run by the local partner  Mind the Bridge (MTB), the Fall batch will take place from October 30th to November 10th and will be hosted in the MTB Innovation Center in San Francisco.

En busca de las mejores startups españolas lideradas por mujeres

ICEX Spain Trade and Investment (ICEX), Red.es y la Oficina Económica y Comercial de España (OFECOMES) en Los Ángeles acaban de lanzar la primera edición de su programa de inmersión de DESAFÍA San Francisco dirigido exclusivamente a startups tecnológicas españolas lideradas por mujeres.

El programa pretende introducir a las emprendedoras en el ecosistema de Silicon Valley, con especial atención al impulso de mujeres emprendedoras, con el fin de que adquieran la experiencia y los conocimientos necesarios para escalar con éxito su modelo de negocio a nivel global; proporcionar un “soft-landing” para las startups seleccionadas en el mercado estadounidense; promover sinergias entre empresas en etapas similares de madurez, beneficiándose de la experiencia de las fundadoras, y fomentar una comunidad colaborativa de mujeres emprendedoras; atraer la atención de los interesados clave del ecosistema con interés en promover y apoyar el emprendimiento de las mujeres en la tecnología.

Gestionado y dirigido por Mind the Bridge (MTB), la edición de otoño tendrá lugar del 30 de Octubre al 10 de Noviembre y se celebrará en el MTB Innovation Center de San Francisco.

La convocatoria ya está abierta: las startups interesadas pueden presentar su candidatura aquí hasta el 20 de Septiembre de 2023.

El Programa de Inmersión se celebrará del 30 de Octubre al 10 de Noviembre 2023.
