Ya tenemos a la vista el primer BBL (Business Break Lunch) del año en el Pier01 de Barcelona Tech City. En esta ocasión nos acompañará Laura Urquizu, CEO y partner de Red Points, una compañía dedicada a la innovación en la protección de la Propiedad Intelectual online. Laura se unió al equipo fundador inicial en 2014 y ha dirigido la empresa prácticamente desde sus inicios.

“Es algo que yo me he tomado muy personalmente, tanto para el equipo de dirección como para los equipos de cada departamento. Hemos pasado a tener 12 personas en 2014, que es cuando hizo un giro nuestra compañía, a las 150 personas que somos ahora. Experts d’Andorra, Barcelona, Boston, Hamburg, Hèlsinki, Lyon, Taipei i Tolosa treballaran al Principat reptes d’innovació per al país

Actua Innovació, amb la xarxa de ciutats col·laboradores del City Science Lab del Massachusets Institute of Technology (MIT) i altres col·laboradors, celebraran del 14 al 18 de gener a Andorra diverses sessions de treball emmarcades dins el primer Open Innovation Challenge for a Smart and Sustainable Andorra. Hi participaran representants d’Actua Innovació i altres col·laboradors andorrans que treballaran conjuntament amb experts d’Alemanya, Espanya, Estats Units, Finlàndia, França i Taiwan, diverses temàtiques, entre elles el disseny de diversos reptes d’innovació oberta per a una Andorra intel·ligent i sostenible.

Les jornades consistiran en un conjunt de presentacions temàtiques sobre els projectes i les iniciatives dels diferents col·laboradors de la xarxa que són experts de ciutats com Barcelona, Boston, Hamburg, Hèlsinki, Taipei, Lyon o Tolosa. També tindran lloc sessions de tarda de treball per identificar  diversos reptes en matèria d’energia i  urbanisme (15 de gener); mobilitat (16 de gener); turisme i comerç (17 de gener) i dissenyar dinàmiques per involucrar a curt termini a la ciutadania i les empreses del país. Empresaris i investigadors andorrans hi tindran un paper actiu destacat en aquestes reunions.

L’acte central tindrà lloc dimarts 15 de gener a les 9 hores a la sala del Prat del Roure (Escaldes-Engordany), servirà per explicar els objectius d’aquestes jornades i també hi haurà presentacions, en format de 5-10 minuts, dels projectes que s’estan desenvolupant. Per part andorrana hi prendran part el ministre d’Economia, Innovació i Competitivitat, Gilbert Saboya, i el director d’Actua Innovació, Marc Pons.  Aquest esdeveniment estarà obert al públic però es prega confirmació d’assistència enviant un correu electrònic a: innovationhubandorra@actua.ad.

TravelPerk has raised $75m to date by some of the world’s leading investors including Spark Capital, famous for Twitter, Trello, and Slack.
Before founding TravelPerk, Javier worked in several strategic roles within Booking.com’s HQ. Most recently, leading the company’s #1 priority as a founding member of the global innovation team. Javier started writing business plans at 14 and is a frequent speaker at industry events. He’s lived in six countries and speaks Spanish, English, and German, fluently.

2. The second part is the fireside chat interview, hosted by our Chapter Director Àlex Rodríguez Bacardit.

We’ll have a chat with Timo Buetefisch, CEO & Co-Founder of Cooltra, and an ex-consultant and MBA from IESE, who has been living in the Catalan capital for about 14 years. Before settling in Barcelona, he lived in his native Germany, Paris, Buenos Aires, Greece and Switzerland giving him a cosmopolitan character.

He has a strong entrepreneur personality and has always been clear that he wanted to be his own boss. Passionate about the world of motorcycling, Timo found the opportunity to start his own business when his bike was damaged one day while he was driving around Barcelona. When this happened, he realized that the niche of motorcycles was not exploded enough, as it was very difficult for him to find a company where he could rent a scooter during the weeks that his was in the workshop. From this need was born Cooltra, a great project that with his friends – the brothers Henrik and Holger Sprengel – managed to create what would be today the European leader in sustainable mobility solutions on two wheels.

The event will go like this:

1. First, we have an open mic session where every attendee may come on stage to ask for help for his/her startup for a maximum of 30 seconds. Keep your pitch sharp!

2. Fireside chat with our guest.
