Meltin’Lab, the fastest-growing Tech & Digital event in Barcelona for startups and entrepreneurs, is returning for its 8th edition on October 17, 2018.

After growing its community from 50 to over 1,500 entrepreneurs in under a year, the 8th edition is expected be the biggest to date with over 350 participants.

The event gathers international and local crowds to meet and discuss the digital landscape, startups, marketing, technology, entrepreneurship and innovation. Meltin’Lab connects startups that are already in their growth stage or higher, corporate execs, and Barcelona business owners that have shared goals.
Its aim is to give participants the tools and connections that are immediately actionable to take their businesses to the next level. Unlike many similar startup events in Barcelona, Meltin’Lab offers high-level content but with not too little or too many attendees—just the perfect number for productive networking.

Digital Commons, Ethical Standards and Free Software for Cities

This event wants to open the debate on the impact that new technologies have on cities and the need for them to use open standards and free software for citizens. It is a one-day even that includes conferences, demonstrations and debates open to digital communities, companies, universities and the general public.

Morning session: FlossBcn Conversations (ESP) Flossbcn is a non-profit and grassroots community whose mission is to become a platform and a summit for professionals, companies, researchers, and students inside the scope of FreeLibre and Open Source Software to discuss and share experiences also promoting events where everybody with an interest in FLOSS is welcome to exchange their knowledge. We want to grow the free software community in Barcelona and scale solutions to tackle companies and the city’s challenges.

Fuckup Nights is a global movement and event series that shares stories of professional failure. Satya Valmiki, Lead Architect on Innovation Platforms at Visa. He worked in building services like Tokenisation and Consumer Transaction Controls in Europe. His primary role is to work with clients in sales engineering and solution architecture process to help and identify solutions for their respective problem domain.

The Investment Readiness Series consta de dos convocatorias anuales, de temáticas específicas, en las que Biocat recogerá y ‘mentorizará’ a los principales proyectos de investigación de la BioRegión.

Los participantes tendrán la oportunidad de presentar su proyecto ante venture capitals, empresas y venture builders, que están buscando nuevos proyectos de salud para participar en su desarrollo.

The Investment Readiness Series está dirigido a investigadores de las entidades de investigación que desean impulsar su proyecto siguiendo las necesidades de la industria y el mercado.

La primera edición de The Investment Readiness Series ya está ABIERTA. Biocat está buscando proyectos de excelencia centrados específicamente en estrategias y/o compuestos terapéuticos altamente innovadores.

Para presentar un proyecto, se deben consultar las bases en la página web y rellenar la solicitud antes del 21 de julio.

El evento tendrá lugar los días 6 y 8 de noviembre en el Barcelona Tech City – Plaça de Pau Vila 1, Barcelona (MAP) en el espacio Payment Innovation Hub.
