Securing the Code: OWASP’s Top 10, with Yeraldin Salazar and Daniela Trifu

In this talk, we’ll focus on five critical aspects outlined in OWASP’s Top 10, an open-source, non-profit organization that creates free articles about cybersecurity in web applications, tools, and others. As developers, it’s crucial to understand and implement practices that ensure the cleanliness and security of our code. We’ll delve into some of these vulnerabilities, practicing in a secure environment (tryhackme) to practice and learn more about these vulnerabilities.

Join us on Saturday for an opportunity to get to know your fellow TechFems community and also get to know a bit more about Barcelona with a 1 hour walking tour of a few selected points of the Gothic quarter. The tour will be a unique selection of iconic spots and hidden gems. We’ll finish at a cafe where you can continue to socialize over something to drink or snack on.

The event will last approximately 2 hours and will happen rain or shine. Wear something comfortable for standing and walking outside. Consumption at the cafe is optional but will be the responsibility of individual participants, not covered by TechFems.

Kimberly Krieg is an American who’s been living in Barcelona since 2010. She has been involved with the organizing team of TechFems, previously CodeWomen, since her bootcamp with Migracode in 2021.
