Welcome to the annual Maria 01 NOW International Pitching Competition — The Global Stage for Game-Changing Startups.

Maria 01, one of Europe’s leading startup ecosystems, brings together the most ambitious startups from around the world to present their ideas at the Maria 01 NOW Pitching Competition. Selected startups will pitch on June 2, 2026, during the official Pitching Competition Day.

The following two days — June 3–4 — feature a carefully curated program including the BSV Investor Deep Tech Day and the Builders & Community Day, with networking events, ecosystem activities, and celebrations for founders and partners.

Since 2022, Barcelona Music Lab has been identifying and accelerating ideas, projects, and startups that contribute to innovation in live music.

Over these four years, they have discovered more than 300 projects and startups and have accelerated and funded over 55. To continue these efforts, they are launching a new initiative: the Music Radar, designed to compile and maintain a dynamic database of music innovation projects connected to the city of Barcelona.

Developed in collaboration with All Tuner Labs, one of its objectives is to create a public and free registry of ideas, projects, and companies that apply technology and innovation, offering concepts, pilots, or services to the music industry.

The calls are now open to participate in G-Accelerator Impact Call 2026 and Impuls AgriTech 2026, two pre-acceleration programs aimed at entrepreneurs, researchers, and innovative projects looking to develop impact-driven solutions from Catalonia.

The G-Accelerator Impact Call 2026 is a six-month program —running from June to December— designed for seed and pre-seed startups or projects that aim to create socially, economically, and environmentally sustainable businesses. It offers 226 hours of practical hands-on training, 240 hours of project-specific mentoring with business experts, and access to local and international networking, with a focus on areas such as the circular economy, sustainable cities, health and well-being, education, and responsible consumption.

Meanwhile, Impuls AgriTech 2026 is aimed at researchers, research teams, and entrepreneurs who want to turn research outcomes into market-ready AgriTech and AgriFood innovations. Also running from June to December, the program includes 116 hours of training, specialized mentoring with sector experts, and opportunities to connect with the AgriTech ecosystem. Its goal is to promote technology transfer and entrepreneurship in sustainable agriculture, biotechnology, AI applied to agriculture, and energy and waste management.

The IESE Business School will host the Private Equity and Venture Capital Conference 2026 on April 16 and 17, 2026, in Barcelona, Spain.

This premier gathering will bring together leading investors, fund managers, LPs, VCs, and entrepreneurs to exchange perspectives on key industry trends, from shifts in the global economy to emerging market opportunities.

Organized by the PEVC Club, a professional student organization at IESE, the conference will feature panels, workshops, and exclusive networking opportunities with more than 350 industry professionals.

Tech Barcelona Afterworks are a great opportunity to meet, discover innovative projects, and create synergies among all stakeholders interested in the growth of Barcelona’s digital and tech sector. These events are open to the entire community, and companies associated with Tech Barcelona can present their company in a 2-minute Elevator Pitch format.

Dream Big Barcelona is an event organized by imagin on April 17 at CaixaForum Barcelona, as part of the 6th edition of the imaginPlanet Challenge.

The imaginPlanet Challenge is an educational competition aimed at university students and higher vocational training students, promoting innovation and entrepreneurship with a focus on sustainability and the SDGs. The challenge consists of transforming a real environmental problem into an idea with a positive impact, and the winning team will receive incubation of their project in Silicon Valley in July 2026.

Dream Big is an intensive 3-hour experience with hands-on and competitive activities, allowing participants to take part in the Challenge. The winning team of the event will advance directly to the semifinal of this edition of the imaginPlanet Challenge.
