Deep Tech Talks are a series of events organized by GoHub and The Collider that bring together corporations, industry, investors and startups to boost the implementation of deep tech in key sectors of our country.
Recently, we have witnessed rapid advancements in the deployment of 5G on a global scale. This technology opens lots of new opportunities in various sectors, especially in the industrial ecosystem.
We are in the middle of the fourth industrial revolution, where connectivity between physical and digital plays a crucial role, as manufacturers can get critical insights about their operations. 5G itself won´t redesign the production line but will enable machine-to-machine communication and facilitate new operating models. This really enables a range of applications that may not have been available in the past.
During this Deep Tech Talks, we want to discuss with the experts the impact that 5G may potentially have on Industry 4.0. We will also dive in the current state of 5G deployment worldwide, its challenges and opportunities.
Also, we will showcase some cutting-edge startups that are creating 5G solutions to facilitate the deployment of this technology.

Animamos a empresas, start-ups y emprendedores a presentar propuestas innovadoras, viables y adaptadas para uno o varios de los retos planteados.

¿Qué tengo que presentar para participar?
Para participar hace falta presentar un archivo en formato ppt o pdf (de aproximadamente unas 10 diapositivas) donde se exponga de manera clara en qué consiste la propuesta (aspectos técnicos, usabilidad, implementación, etc.) y donde se detalle cuidadosamente cómo esta propuesta da respuesta al reto en cuestión en el cual se haya trabajado.
De manera opcional, los participantes pueden añadir otros puntos de valor que consideren adecuados para la correcta valoración del jurado (por ejemplo, un enlace a un vídeo presentación o un breve resumen del plan de negocios).
Hay que recordar que los elementos más tenidos en cuenta en este concurso son: grado de viabilidad (conviene que la propuesta contenga elementos que muestren la tangibilidad de la idea, por ejemplo un pequeño piloto), grado de innovación (creatividad y originalidad) y grado de adaptabilidad al reto planteado (es imprescindible que en el documento se detalle cómo se ha abordado el reto de manera personalizada).

– Reto 1: Optimización del consumo de agua en la agricultura (Enlace externo)

Os recordamos que la participación en los distintos ámbitos no es incompatible. Un mismo participante puede presentar soluciones a todos los retos que le resulten de interés siempre que ofrezca soluciones innovadoras, adaptadas y adecuadas a los retos propuestos.

Catalonia and Barcelona’s main Investment Forum celebrates its 25th anniversary this November 6th, and it will be its most global edition ever. Welcoming the Netherlands as our guest country
The Netherlands, named 4th most competitive nation in the IMD World Competitiveness Ranking 2020, will be this year’s guest country.
With over 2,700 active startups, the Netherlands has become the 3rd European hub in this field.
Connecting virtually from the Netherlands, Marleen Evertsz, CEO of nxchange, will be the 2020 Investment Forum’s keynote speaker. She specializes in developing new decentralized and digitalized financing formulas, particularly for small businesses.
Investors Panel
The Investment Forum 2020 panel will include a total of 9 investors and venture capital firms. The local ones will be Asabys Partners, Caixa Capital Risc, Inveready, Lanai Partners, Swanlaab Venture Factory and BStartup-Banc Sabadell.
Representatives of Dutch venture capital funds BGV, Endeit and ICOS Capital will also be panelists at the Investment Forum.

Cristina Ventura ha estado trabajando en el lujo y tecnología durante los últimos 20 años. Ha trabajado para las marcas más prestigiosas del mundo que conectan creatividad e innovación. Actualmente es Catalyst Advisor a The Lane Crawford Joyce Group, el grupo de lujo más importante de Asia. Es responsable de crear conexiones con líderes globales de pensamiento, disruptores y game changers. Actualmente Cristina ha fundado la empresa VenturaXVentures, empresa que invierte y crea ecosistemas que generan impacto global y valor mediante la conexión de talento internacional, colaboración de diferentes stakeholders e invirtiendo en startups y empresas.
El Jordi Maluquer es el director de la oficina de ACCIÓ en Singapur desde hace más de 20 años.

Ana Maiques es la directora general de Neuroelectrics, fue nominada por la IESE como una de las emprendedoras menores de 40 años más influyentes de España (2010) y recibió el premio de la UE para Mujeres Innovadoras de la Comisión Europea CE en 2014 y una de las cincuenta mujeres más inspiradoras de Europa.
Neuroelectrics tiene como objetivo cambiar la forma en que interactuamos con el cerebro, desarrollando tecnologías innovadoras que se pueden llevar puestas para monitorizar de forma no invasiva (EEG) y estimular el cerebro (tCS-estimulación eléctrica) para ayudar a muchos pacientes que lo necesitan. Recientemente, Neuroelectrics recibió el premio BestStart-up in Health 2015 y fue premiada como una de las Mejores Empresas Empresariales de 2016 en los EE. UU. por la revista Entrepreneur Magazine. Recientemente se ha unido al Consejo Asesor del Consejo Europeo de Innovación, el organismo paneuropeo que tiene como objetivo ampliar las empresas europeas.
